ABOUT NDAM
Welcome to North Down Advanced Motorists
Located in Groomsport, just outside Bangor in County Down, North Down Advanced Motorists (NDAM) has been dedicated to promoting safer roads and providing advanced driver training and coaching advanced motorcyclists since our establishment in 1991. Initially supported by members from Belfast, we have since evolved into a vibrant and enthusiastic community of over 100 members, with a reach spanning from Ballywalter to the northern tip of the Ards Peninsula.
Our Activities
At NDAM, we offer a diverse range of engaging activities designed to enrich your driving experience. Join us for visits to the Police Traffic Branch, participate in exciting treasure hunts, navigate our Table Top Navigation Rallies, and enjoy thrilling go-karting sessions. Motorcycle Section
In addition to our car-related activities, we boast a dynamic motorcycle section that organises monthly ride-outs, allowing members to connect and explore the beautiful landscapes of Northern Ireland together.
Training and Support
NDAM is committed to providing comprehensive training for both car and motorcycle categories in preparation for the IAM Advanced Driving Test. We encourage our members to attend our monthly meetings, which serve as a vital connection to the group. These meetings feature guest speakers, visits to other organisations, and opportunities for members to swap observers, ensuring everyone receives the support they need.
